About Silverman, Vorhis & Mack

The Law Office of Silverman, Vorhis & Mack is a team of seasoned Gainesville Family Lawyers who are zealously devoted to advocating for their clients both at the negotiating table and, when necessary, in the courtroom.  Collectively, we have forty years of experience as trial attorneys, working for private firms as well as in the public sector as state prosecutors, public defenders and for the courts.

Before founding the law firm, partner Joshua Silverman worked as a state prosecutor for five years and handled many cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, and sexually-related offenses, as well as various criminal matters.  His tenure as a prosecutor afforded Mr. Silverman the opportunity to engage in complex negotiations with opposing counsel and gave him extensive courtroom experience.  His abilities as a trial attorney are widely recognized by his peers, and he is a lecturer on trial advocacy in various forums.

Managing partner Adam Vorhis worked as a trial attorney both in the private and in the public sectors before founding The Law Office of Silverman & Vorhis with Mr. Silverman.  He handled hundreds of cases in state and federal courts involving wrongful death, contract and property disputes, personal injury, and products liability.  He also spent several years as a state prosecutor in the criminal division just prior to coming on as managing partner for the firm.  Mr. Vorhis is an excellent negotiator and trial attorney, and is an invaluable resource to our clients who often face very complicated legal matters requiring skilled negotiating and litigating.

Stephanie Mack joined the firm as an equity partner in 2013.  Before coming to the firm, she worked as a staff attorney for circuit court judges in the Fifth Judicial Circuit in Marion County where she was exposed to many different areas of the law.  She then served as an associate attorney for a small firm in Gainesville focusing mainly on family law and probate matters.  She is experienced in negotiations, trial work, and probate administration.  Ms. Mack has the additional distinction of being state board certified as a Marital and Family Law Specialist since 2011.

Our team of family law attorneys at our firm was further enhanced by the addition of associate attorney Delinda Jan Smith in 2011.  In addition to her academic accolades in college and law school,  Ms. Smith had three years of criminal trial experience working in the Public Defenders Office in the Eighth Judicial Circuit on both misdemeanor and felony cases.  Ms. Smith is highly skilled in all phases of negotiations and litigation and has proven herself to be a capable and worthy member of our team.
