The Law Office of Silverman, Mack & Associates is comprised of a team of seasoned family law and criminal law attorneys, each with an unparalleled devotion to advocating for their clients, both at the negotiating table and within the courtroom. Our firm has more than 40 years of combined experience as trial attorneys and public defenders as well as lawyers for private firms, the public sector, and the Florida courts.
Before founding the law firm, partner Joshua Silverman worked as a state prosecutor and handled many cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, and sex-related offenses, as well as other types of criminal matters. His tenure as a prosecutor gave him extensive courtroom experience. His abilities as a trial attorney are widely recognized by his peers, and he is a lecturer on trial advocacy in various forums.
Stephanie Mack joined the firm as an equity partner in 2013. Before joining the firm, she worked as a staff attorney for circuit court judges in the Fifth Judicial Circuit in Marion County where she was exposed to many different areas of the law. She then served as an associate attorney for a small firm in Gainesville, focusing mainly on family law and probate matters. She has experience in negotiation, trial work, and probate administration. Ms. Mack has the additional distinction of being state board certified as a Marital and Family Law Specialist since 2011.
The work of our partners is bolstered and supported by our team of excellent associates. Jan Smith (criminal associate) and Kristianna Cucinella (family associate) work diligently to represent clients under the direction of our partners. In addition to her academic accolades in college and law school, Mrs. Smith has years of criminal trial experience serving our community as an assistant Public Defenders in the Eighth Judicial Circuit on both misdemeanor and felony cases. Mrs. Smith is highly skilled in all phases of negotiations and litigation and has proven herself to be a capable and worthy member of our team.
Mrs. Cucinella is a graduate of the University of Florida, and a "Triple Gator," having obtained a Bachelor of Science and joint Master of Science and Juris Doctorate degrees, all with honors. Mrs. Cucinella also worked as an associate attorney for two years at a large statewide insurance defense firm, practicing in the area of workers' compensation insurance defense. During her tenure with the firm, she vigorously defended employer and insurance carrier clients, ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations. This included mediating claims and going to trial when necessary to obtain favorable settlements for her clients. This experience has served her well as she transitioned exclusively to handling family law cases.
